Provisions (creates, registers, and bills) a single third-party device — including OEM devices — to a specified customer account.
Note: This method cannot be called in the sandbox environment and will throw an exception.
Parameters
apiKey
The active API Key.
erpNo
The account ERP number to activate the device against. Must resolve to a valid account the caller can access.
hardwareId
Optional hardware ID (HWID) for CVAAS device creation. When supplied, the device is created with this HWID rather than a freshly allocated serial number.
productId
The product ID the device is registered under. Determines the device type and whether OEM billing applies (see subPlan).
promoCode
Promotional or rate-plan code applied to device billing. Pass an empty string for no promo. When non-empty, must be valid for the account or an ancestor account.
sessionId
The active session ID.
subPlan
Subscription plan name for OEM devices. Ignored for non-OEM products. Required and must match a valid plan description for the productId when the product is OEM.
Return value
A ProvisionResult containing the assigned serial number on success. On hard failure the call throws rather than returning a failed result.
