Introduction
A custom telematics automotive vehicle device that is used in MyGeotab. This is used for extensibility and is based on the CustomDevice object.
Properties

activeFrom

The date the device is active from. Default [MinDate].

activeTo

The date that the device is active to. Default [MaxDate].

allowSynthesizedEngineHours

A value indicating whether engine hours may be synthesized from vehicle active state (VAS)/ignition data instead of ECU-reported Engine Operational Time. Defaults to [null] (treated as [false]) and only takes effect when the per-device synthesized engine hours feature flag (DATAINGESTION.ALLOW_SYNTHESIZED_ENGINE_HOURS.RELEASE) is enabled. Settable on any device, but only affects device types that report engine hours (IEngineHoursProvider). Affected: the GO family (GO5–GO10, GO10 Lite, GO Legacy, Gemini, A1, U1), CustomVehicleDevice (including CellularVehicleDevice), and UntrackedAsset. Not affected: GO Anywhere, GO Anywhere Lite, CustomDevice, Bluetooth trackers, and GoDrive.

autoGroups

The messaging status groups associated with this custom device. These groups are distinct from the device's explicitly assigned Device.groups collection.

autoHos

A toggle that represents automatic generation of DutyStatusLogs for a Device. Default [null].

comment

Free text field where any user information can be stored and referenced for this entity.

deviceFlags

The device features which have been enabled whether the feature is in use (e.g. HOS, Iridium). See Device.deviceFlags for available features. Read-only; cannot be set via the API.
The DeviceFlags property cannot be added/updated via the API.

deviceType

Specifies the GO or Custom DeviceType.

engineHourOffset

The offset to be applied engine hours data reported by the engine computer. Default [0].

fuelTankCapacity

The capacity of all usable fuel tanks in litres. Default [null].

groups

The list of Group(s) the device belongs to.

id

The unique identifier for this entity. See Id.

licensePlate

The vehicle license plate details of the vehicle associated with the device. Maximum length [50] Default [""].

licenseState

The state or province of the vehicle associated with the device. Maximum length [50] Default [""].

name

The name of this entity which identifies it and is used when displaying this entity. Maximum length [50].

odometerFactor

A value used to correct the odometer value received from the engine. Default [1].

odometerOffset

The offset to be applied odometer reported by the engine computer. Default [0].

productId

The product id. Each device is assigned a unique hardware product id.

serialNumber

The Serial Number of the device. Maximum length [12].

supportsEngineHours

A value indicating whether this Device supports engine hours (i.e. implements IEngineHoursProvider). The capability is derived from the concrete device type and stored independently of Device.productId, so it honours field selection: the data access layer populates it when the field is requested and clears it (to null) when it is excluded.

timeZoneId

The IANA Timezone Id of the device used to determine local work times. This is typically the "home location" of the device. Default ["UTC"].
Retrieve a list of valid timezone Id's by querying "GetTimeZones".

vehicleIdentificationNumber

The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the vehicle associated with the device. Maximum length [50] Default [""].

version

The version of the entity.

workTime

The WorkTime rules to apply to the device. Default [WorkTimeStandardHours].
